EQUAL PAY DAY: 2021 or 1988?

Tomorrow is Women's Equal Pay Day, which symbolizes how far into the new year women must work to earn what men earned the previous year. Last year, however, women suffered a major setback— as in a 33-year setback. The COVID-induced “She-cession” brought women’s involvement in the workforce down to rates not seen since 1988, with over 2.3 million jobs lost.

So, now let’s talk solutions.

In support of Equal Pay Day, I'm excited to moderate a Clubhouse event about actionable steps we can all take to close the pay gap and GET PAID with a stacked list of incredible businesswomen.

In honor of leveling the playing field for women entering or re-entering the workforce, I'll also be donating all earnings from speaking engagements in April to a non-profit that aims to close the gender gap. Please let me know if there is one you think is right for us.

Solving a problem like this is a daunting task, so if you don’t know where to start, you can:

  • Support raising the minimum wage

  • Support pay transparency

  • Support PARENTAL (that means dads too) leave

  • Invest in affordable (quality) childcare.

As for the next big steps? Join us @ 9 AM tomorrow on Clubhouse to find out!
