4 "At-Home" Brand Campaigns You Need to Watch
How does a brand launch a fresh campaign while social distancing?
That is, without access to actors, studios or film crews…
Well, turns out, there’s a lot you can do with a webcam and a little coordination.
These three brands leaned into their resources to create compelling, relevant content. Content that is savvy to the nuances of the fast-paced platforms. Content that promotes social good. Content that proves there is more to a good campaign than sleek, high-res images- although we love those too.
1. mint mobile
Personality. Personality. Personality. We love this ad, because it drives home exactly what everyone needs right now: a good laugh, and relatable human connection. It empathizes with awkward web-cam angles, cheesy slideshows and less-than-perfect family dynamics. Besides, who wouldn’t want to spend a minute and a half with Ryan Reynolds?
2. loreal
Again with the personality! Eva Longoria charismatically dyes her hair from home, reminding us that even she has insecurities (and grays). Additionally, the video features quick cuts that are well-suited for the fast-paced nature of Instagram.
3. postmates
Warning. You will be hungry after watching this next campaign. The relatable filmed-at-home quality humanizes popular heroes. This ad deposits hope for local businesses. Maybe it’ll even inspire you to try a new restaurant or two.
4. the real heroes project
Crying? Me? While production quality is important, it pales in comparison to genuine human emotion. 72 and Sunny teamed up with several athletes and brands (NFL, NHL, MLS, MLB, Nascar) to make this one happen. Thank you to dedicated healthcare workers making sacrifices across the globe.
