Black Lives Matter.

As a female-driven company whose values are rooted in equality for all, we want to keep our foot on the gas, continue the conversation, and urge our fellow Americans to continue to listen, learn, and better understand the roots of our collective problems.

Many of us don’t know or understand the history of modern feminism. The early women’s liberation movement created a racially segregated ‘feminist movement’ in which black men and women were unwelcome. Their struggles - fundamentally different from white women’s - were never taken into consideration. This continues even today as many deny the existence of ‘white privilege’. Black women continue to be integral in pushing women’s rights forward, while sadly many white women have hidden behind the patriarchy, as it still serves many of us to this day.⠀

What we need, and what we hope to actively strive towards is a radical, integrated movement fundamental to building a just, equitable, and racially unified society.

Racial justice IS a feminist issue. We proudly stand in solidarity with the Black community.

Thank you to those who participated in our stand by making donations. We received so many encouraging screenshots of donations to various organizations, and matched them by giving to Bloom Alliance: an initiative of the California Community Foundation.
